Over 28 years much has changed at the Juliet Cullinan Standard Bank Wine Festival.  The great winemakers weaved their magic through our history before handing over to their children who are just as passionate, yet also dynamic, and keen to innovate on the traditions they have inherited .  They have changed winemaking, grape varieties, blends and tastes.  They are not better than their forefathers, they are different!  They have introduced wines for the millennial taster with fruit, flavour and instagram sensation.

There is a beautiful bond in the way the Festival connects people.  The seed of this link comes from the grapes first touched by the hands of the cellar master before blending and bottling.  It is my role as hostess at the festival to introduce the latest releases to the many guests who attend and to share with them the beauty and elegance of these finely crafted wines.

Showcasing limited quantities of wines with a “sense of place” in South Africa’s longest running, most innovative wine festival is constantly rewarding.

Standard Bank’s 18-year sponsorship of the Festival, enables us to satisfy palates, stimulate debate, and provide an optimum experience for both winery and taster.  It’s what our reputation is built on.

Individual winemakers who share their knowledge and enthusiasm enliven the festival every year. I cherish the friendships, interaction and loyalty shared in the presence of superior wines. The joy of wine tasting is the joy of discovery…

Each year we aim higher and 2018 promises to be our best festival yet, as hand picked boutique wineries and cellar-celebs share their limited production labels and present innovative blends.

It gives me great pleasure to invite you to the 28th Juliet Cullinan Standard Bank Wine Festival to celebrate with us the great wines of our nation at the old Imax theatre on the 7th floor of the Hyde Park mall in Johannesburg from 5pm to 9pm.
