Visitors to the event can expect unsurpassed social interaction with the country’s top cellar masters and producers in an up-market, intimate venue.

The 30th Juliet Cullinan Standard Bank Wine Festival will be held at Summer Place, Sandton, South Africa, on the 5th and 6th of May 2020 from 17h00 to 21h30. R220 online at Webtickets and R240 at the door.

After 30 years, The Juliet Cullinan Standard Bank Wine Festival remains the most exclusive and longest running wine show in South Africa.

THE JULIET CULLINAN STANDARD BANK WINE FESTIVAL is an intimate, inspirational, elegant showcase of our top wineries. Refined in its tone and distinct in its voice, the festival acts as a platform to showcase iconic wines, boutique cellars and charismatic personalities.  It seeks to unveil vintage leaders, whisper secrets of local and international wines and divulge bespoke treasures.

After 30 years, this is the longest running, premier wine festival in the country. Our success comes from offering wineries with provenance and a mark of distinction to a small group of knowledgeable and keen wine lovers.  “Intimacy and perfection” is what makes us unique – the opportunity to meet hand picked winemakers, recently launched estates, award winning labels and the highlights of the vintage. Every wine on show tells a tale and reflects the terroir of a great wine property.

Small, select, superior and sponsored by Standard Bank for 20 years – the event is singularly about quality.  Meet cellar masters and discuss wines noted for their elegance, complexity and distinction. All wines showcased during the Festival can be purchased at show prices on the night.

What makes us different?

“My pride in SA wines drives me to promote the supreme. It’s all about excellence – quality wineries, quality guests, quality service.  It’s a small personal show, elite boutique wineries with limited quantities of exceptional wine. Guests love it because we deliver. They get to taste South Africa’s finest wines and meet winemakers to discuss vintages, maturation and terroir.”

Our greatest support has come from the Standard Bank sponsorship over 20 years. We have built our reputation on a solid foundation of continuity, celebration and commitment to offer the very best experience for both the winery and the taster. The festival continues to grow in stature and excellence.

Showcasing limited quantities of wines with a “sense of place” in South Africa’s longest running, most innovative wine festival is constantly rewarding. At the same time our 20-year Standard Bank sponsorship enables us to satisfy palates, stimulate debate, and provide an optimum experience for both winery and taster.  It’s what our reputation is built on.

Each year we aim higher and 2019 was our best festival so far, as hand picked boutique wineries and cellar-celebs shared their limited production labels and presented innovative blends.
